VH1 pulls plug on Chad Johnson reality show 2 days after arrest

MIAMI – Davie police released a 911 call from the neighbor who was with Chad Johnson's wife after their reported domestic dispute.

Johnson was arrested on domestic battery charges Saturday night following an argument he had with his wife, Evelyn Lozado, who claims her husband head-butted her.

In the call, the neighbor told police Lozado was at his house after a domestic dispute with her husband.

"I think we need to have a police officer here to talk to her," said the neighbor. "I think it was just a misunderstanding but we're worried that he's going to come and get upset."

The neighbor told the 911 operator Lozado had a cut on her forehead, saying she'd likely need stitches.

The neighbor also cautioned police about coming to the neighborhood with their lights on.

"Let's just try, if we can, let's not make a big scene about it till the police get here. We're worried that he's going to get mad and he's a high-profile person," said the neighbor. "He's a very high profile person so we'd like to keep this as quiet as possible, if you can let the police know that. Because we don't need the news here."

Lozado can be heard talking to her neighbor in the call.

The Miami Dolphins released Johnson, who had signed a one-year contract, on Sunday.

VH1 cancels "Ev & Ocho"

The former Dolphins receiver has now been told that his upcoming reality show has been cancelled.

ESPN was first to report that VH1 had pulled the plug on the show that was scheduled to debut on September 3.

"Ev & Ocho" was set to follow the outspoken Johnson and his new wife Evelyn Lozado.

In a statement given to TMZ, VH1 says, "Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series 'Ev and Ocho' from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it."
