A Miami-Dade firefighter has been arrested, accused of sexting with a 17-year-old boy.
Miami-Dade police said the firefighter Ulises Rodriguez, was having a sexual relationship with the teen.
Police said Rodriguez sent the boy several sexually explicit text messages and photographs on his cellphone.
Rodriguez was arrested July 14 and charged with 15 counts of transmitting harmful material to a minor. He was released on $50,000 bond.
The 17-year-old boy has since died. The medical examiner is still trying to determine a cause of death.
Prosecutors have said there is no connection between the sexting charges against Rodriguez and the boy's death.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
