TAMARAC, Fla. – A group attempting to recall a Tamarac city commissioner acquitted of accepting bribes from developers turned in their petition a second time Monday.
A recall effort against Patricia Atkins-Grad fell 18 signatures short the first time.

"We have had enough," said Sharon Aron Baron. "We will not allow a person who has accepted bribes -- whether they were stupid or whether they did it willingly -- we will not stand for that in our city."
Jurors acquitted Atkins-Grad in December 2012. She then resumed her position on the city commission.
Baron led the volunteers, who collected 1,520 signatures for the recall effort.
"I am in the medical field and if I would have done what she did, I would've been out," said Fayrouz Ghuneim.
"We do not hate Patte Atkins-Grad. We hate how she has painted our city in a bad light and made Tamarac the laughingstock of this county," said Baron.
The Broward Supervisor of Elections must validate the signatures within 30 days for the recall effort to continue.
Atkins-Grad declined comment on the recall effort.
