WESTON, Fla. – The FBI is investigating who uploaded nude photographs of students from several South Florida schools to the internet.
The website was discovered last week when a student at Cypress Bay High School told a school administrator the website had pictures of naked, underage girls and pictures of teenagers involved in sex acts, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The website received hundred of thousands of page views before it was shut down by BSO's Internal Crimes Against Children Taskforce and its Special Victims unit.
BSO said the website had 14 explicit pictures of six girls. The youngest was 13.
Investigators said the girls took pictures of themselves and shared them. The pictures were then uploaded to the website BSO later shut down.
"It contained illegal content. That there is child pornography on there," said Veda Coleman-Wright with the Broward Sheriff's Office.
BSO said three of the girls currently attend Cypress Bay High School; two others transferred earlier in the year; and, the sixth is a middle school student.
"If you are in possession of child pornography and you transmit it through the internet, email, text, you are currently committing a crime," added Coleman-Wright.
So far, no arrests have been made.

A study by the Internet Watch Foundation found that 88 percent of sexually explicit, self-generated online images and videos of young people would eventually find their way online.
