PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A Boca Raton teenager is one win away from taking home the $75,000 grand prize in the teen tournament edition of "Jeopardy."

Alan Koolik, a 17-year-old rising senior at the Pine Crest School, won $25,000 in Thursday night's episode to take the lead heading into Friday night's finale.

Koolik was the only one of the three finalists who wrote the correct response in the Final Jeopardy round.

"This novel is dedicated to Esther Earl, who died of thyroid cancer at 16 & never got to read it," show host Alex Trebek told the contestants.

Koolik's correct response was, "What is the Fault in Our Stars?"

Koolik has thus far been unbeaten, winning $31,001 in the first round last week and $20,801 in Wednesday night's semifinals.

If he can win Friday night, Koolik will be crowned teen tournament champion.

The show airs at 7:30 p.m. on Local 10.
