Local artist displays art inspired by Jay Z, Beyonce

MIAMI – As the king and queen of hip hop descend on South Florida, one group of art and music lovers is hoping to turn the concert of the summer into a way to inspire local youth.

Artist Nate Dee has been working on the pop-up mural inspired by Jay Z and Beyonce's tour cover for the past two days. He hopes it will attract fans and start a conversation within the Carol City community.

Otis Anderson, owner of Speaker Boxx Miami, is bringing a new vibe to the busy Northwest 27th Avenue and 173rd Street intersection. He said he hopes to show the Miami Gardens community there is more out there to experience by unifying the fans of hip hop's power couple.

There is merchandising as well, but it all stays true to the South Florida culture. Local design company Dope X Gold has joined in the movement with exclusive Jay Z-inspired merchandise.
