FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. -

Hundreds of pounds of cocaine were stopped before making it to the streets of Florida.

The United States Coast Guard said it stopped more than $11 million worth of coke as part of 'Operation Martillo'.

The Coast Guard released the above picture showing the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Marlin offloading the drugs in Fort Myers Beach on Thursday.

The Marlin is an 87-foot coastal patrol boat homeported in Fort Myers Beach.

The Coast Guard said 'Operation Martillo', "is one component in the United States government's whole-of-government approach to countering the use of the Central American littorals as transshipment routes for illicit drugs, weapons, and cash."
