PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – One person is dead after a car crashed into a mechanic shop Monday in Palm Beach County.
Police said Constance Demarco, 88, was driving her 2007 Honda Accord on the east side of Detroit Street approaching a stop sign, but instead of hitting the brake went into the shop, driving under a vehicle that was elevated on a lift approximately 4 feet.

Demarco reportedly continued under the lift, striking another vehicle in the garage, which struck a large toolbox.
Constance Demarco and passenger Francisco Demarco were taken to Delray Medical Center, where Francisco Demarco died.
Police continue investigating the crash.
