1 dead after fiery crash in North Miami

Police say 2 others in serious condition at Ryder Trauma

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. ā€“ Police say one person is dead and two were sent to the hospital in serious condition after a fiery crash in North Miami.

Authorities said two cars crashed shortly before 7 p.m. Friday on the corner of Northeast 10th Avenue and 142nd Street in North Miami.

Police said a passenger in the car that caught fire died at the scene. Authorities said the two drivers were rushed to Ryder Trauma in serious condition.

More than five hours after the crash happened Friday evening, investigators were trying to piece together who was at fault.

Investigators told Local 10's Carlos Suarez it appears one of the drivers ran a stop sign.

Northeast 10th Avenue was shut down from 144th to 140th. The names of both drivers and the passenger who died have not been released.
