1 injured in Oakland Park warehouse fire

BSO: Man taken to hospital for second-degree burns

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – A man was injured in a fire at an Oakland Park warehouse Friday morning.

Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the building at 4493 NW Eighth Ave.

According to Oakland Park Fire Rescue, the fire was started by a vehicle that was inside the building.

One man was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with second-degree burns. Authorities said the fire significantly damaged the warehouse and two adjoining warehouses suffered moderate damages.

It is unclear what type of business was operating of the warehouse.
