Man stabbed to death by roommate in Pompano Beach, deputies say

Roommate also injured, being treated at nearby hospital

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Two roommates had a dispute that escalated into one of the men fatally stabbing the other on the street where they live, deputies said.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were called after 5:15 a.m. Saturday to 215 SW Second St. in Pompano Beach.

Deputies found one of the roommates fatally wounded on the ground about four houses from their home and the other was still at the scene, according to BSO.

Detectives believe the fight began inside the roommates' home and moved down the street.

The man who stabbed his roommate was injured and transported to Broward Health North Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies have not released either man's identity.
