NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 13-year-old boy was injured in a shooting in North Lauderdale on Monday morning, the Broward Sheriff's Office reports.
The shooting happened at 8220 SW 4th Street about 11 a.m.

The boy was shot in the head and transported to Broward Health. He is expected to survive.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
BSO Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident as an accidental shooting.
