1 sought in attempted bank robbery

BOCA RATON, Fla. -

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who tried robbing a BB&T Bank on Sept. 23.

The attempted robbery happened at 19631 S.R. 7.

The robber walked into the bank and handed the teller a note that read, "Give me the money from the top drawer. No dye pack," say police. Instead, the teller locked the drawer and backed away from the counter.

The robber then walked out. He was last seen wearing a dark hat, sunglasses, and a tan long-sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Palm Beach Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
