COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – A 10-year-old girl was airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center Tuesday morning after she was hit by a car at the intersection of Copans and Lyons Roads in Coconut Creek.
According to an official from the Margate Fire Department, the child was jay-walking with her bicycle when she was hit. The driver stayed on the scene.

The official said the girl might have a fractured leg and was airlifted as a trauma patient.
