15-year-old boy struck by vehicle in Weston

Boy airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries

WESTON, Fla. – Police say a 15-year-old boy has been taken to the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the incident happened after 6 p.m. Wednesday at 400 Indian Trace in Weston.

Local 10's Baron James reports the driver had stopped after hitting the boy and that this wasn't a hit-and-run incident.

Police said the 15-year-old boy's injuries appear to be non life-threatening, but he was airlifted as a precaution to Broward Health Medical Center.
