Dolphins football star, Chad Johnson, is now out of jail. He was arrested and charged with domestic battery after allegedly head-butting his wife. The two had gotten into an argument about a receipt for a box of condoms she had found in the trunk of their car.
While taking out the groceries, Evelyn Lozada noticed a WalGreens receipt in a car's trunk with a charge for a box of condoms.
The two then sat inside of their black Smart Car that was parked directly in front of their home. They began talking about the receipt and their marriage.
According to the arrest report, Johnson became upset and without permission grabbed her and head-butted her on the forehead, causing a cut. Johnson began screaming and she attempted to calm him down.
The arrest report claims Johnson began screaming "I don't give a ***k! I don't give a ***k about my career!" His wife then reportedly ran away to a neighbor's house to get away from Johnson.
The arrest form says Johnson began driving the neighborhood looking for her. She hid at a neighbor's house until they arrived. At this time, they called police. Police say they saw a 3-inch cut on her head.
Johnson told police that he and wife were arguing in regards to a sales receipt. During the argument, he claims that she said "**k it!" and then head-butted him. This caused the cut on her forehead.
Johnson said he went for a drive trying to give her time to calm down.
The report says Johnson did not have any visible marks or bruises.
Johnson was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
He was taken to the Davie Police Department and then to Broward County Sheriff's office for processing.
Johnson's wife claimed that she did want to press charges.
The wide receiver was released from jail on Sunday afternoon. He hugged his brother, walked slowly to his car and did not say a word.
