FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -

Two men face charges in connection with a series of armed robberies in Broward County.

Kyle Spellacy and Robert Martinez-Valerino were arrested October 2.

According to police, the two are responsible for at least four armed robberies, including at the 99 Cents Store on East Sunrise Boulevard on September 29.

Police said a man entered the store and threatened to shoot the clerk. Martinez-Valerino told police he witnessed the robbery and chased the suspect from the store.

Spellacy and Martinez-Valerino were then arrested after a robbery at a Walgreens on East Sunrise Boulevard, said investigators. Both gave full confessions to their involvement.

Police believe the two were also responsible for a robbery in Oakland Park and Wilton Manors.
