2 in custody after burglaries

Police take two men into custody while a third gets away after at least two burglaries in Kendall on Thursday afternoon.

KENDALL, Fla. -

Police took two men into custody while a third got away after at least two burglaries in Kendall on Thursday afternoon.

A woman called police when three burglars entered her home in the 11300 block of Southwest 57th Terrace. They ran off into another home, where another homeowner called police.

Officers found two of the men, one of whom was hiding in a tool shed. The third drove away in a dark-colored Kia.

Officers shot at the car, but investigators don't believe they hit anyone. Witnesses said they heard three shots.

Police said no injuries were reported.
