2 killed in I-75 chain-reaction crash

A 17-year-old girl was among the victims in this fatal crash on Interstate 75.

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Two people are dead and another person is in the hospital after a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 75.

The crash occurred early Friday morning in the southbound lanes near Pines Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old girl, Liza Angulo, was killed. One man also died.

Another woman was taken to a hospital, but her condition was not immediately known.

Investigators said a tractor-trailer was pulling out of a construction site when a car smashed into it. That set off a chain reaction in which another tractor-trailer and another car collided.
