2 masked gunmen rob Family Dollar store in Hallandale Beach

Armed robbery captured on surveillance video

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Police are trying to identify two men who robbed a Family Dollar store in Hallandale Beach earlier this month.

The armed robbery occurred May 11 at the Family Dollar store on Hallandale Beach Boulevard.

Hallandale Beach police said two armed men entered the store and stole $290 from the cash register.

The entire robbery was captured on surveillance video.

During the robbery, one of the gunmen struck an employee in the head with the gun he was pointing at him.

One of the men wore a ski mask and a Netherlands soccer jersey, while the other wore a black neck scarf that he used to cover a portion of his face.

Police said the men got away in a compact sport utility vehicle driven by a woman.
