WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Two men who died when their small plane crashed into a marsh near the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in Palm Beach County have been identified.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera identified the victims Tuesday as David Whitney, 64, of Lake Worth, and William Mahn, 66, of Jupiter.

The single-engine plane crashed just before 1 p.m. Monday, shortly after taking off from Palm Beach County Park Airport in Lantana.
Ron Bradshaw, who was fishing near where the plane crashed, said he heard the impact and then saw smoke and flames.
"There was nothing I could do," Bradshaw told Local 10 News. "I yelled a couple of times just to see if anybody could yell at me and they didn't, so I knew that was it and there was nothing I could do after that."
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash.
