2 rushed to hospital after North Miami shooting

Man, woman rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Two people were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital after police say they were shot in North Miami.

The shooting happened Thursday night at 1300 Northeast 6th Avenue.

A man was sitting in a parked car outside the house and a woman was sitting on the porch. Police said a car then drove by and someone inside the car began shooting, striking both the man and the woman.

One of them was shot in the chest and the other was shot in the stomach, police said.

The two were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where they were listed in stable condition.

Both Miami-Dade Fire and Miami-Dade police are investigating the incident. Police didn't know how many suspects were involved in the shooting and did not provide a description of the suspect's car.
