MIAMI – Two workers were injured when a wall fell on them at a downtown Miami construction site.
The accident occurred on the 26th floor at the Met 3 tower site, 200 SE Third Ave.
According to the Miami Department of Fire Rescue, two workers were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. One of the workers was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center with more serious injuries.
"Several co-workers that were on the floor assisted with that individual that was trapped and pulled him out before fire-rescue arrived," Capt. Ignatius Carroll told Local 10 News.
Both workers were expected to survive.
It was not immediately known what caused the wall to collapse.
