HOMESTEAD, Fla. – A 2-year-old girl found in the pool of her Homestead home Friday morning was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the girl wandered out of the house at 31429 SW 136th Avenue and into the pool, where family members found her. It's unclear how long the girl was in the water, said Fernando Morales with the Homestead Police Department.

A police officer gave the girl CPR upon arrival. She was later airlifted from Homestead Hospital to Miami Children's Hospital.
