Police in Miramar charged three suspects accused of stealing flat screen televisions from a Target and then attempting to run over an officer who stopped them.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of a Chili's restaurant near Miramar Parkway and 163rd Avenue late Wednesday.

Eugene Foster, Nemiah Covington, and another woman were seen stealing two TVs from the Target, according to police. Surveillance video released Thursday showed the three loading two TVs into a cart and then walking out of the store.

An officer responded to the theft and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the car, which was being driven by Rubie Mosley, said police. The four pulled into the parking lot of a nearby Chili's and got out of the vehicle.

Police said Covington ran away and the three others got back inside the car and drove toward the police officer. Fearing for his life, he then fired at the vehicle, said police.

The vehicle crashed into a parking car. No one was hit by the gunfire.

Mosley is charged with attempted murder and fleeing at a high speed. Covington is charged with grand theft and resisting an officer without violence. Foster is charged with grand theft.

A woman, described as being heavy set, remains on the loose. She was last seen wearing a blue dress and a white jacket.
