5 charged with harvesting too many lobsters

CUDJOE KEY, Fla. – Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials arrested five men who harvested too many spiny lobster tails.

Wildlife officials charged Michael Hennis, Jacob Hennis, Nicholaus Thompson, Daniel Schlichting, and David Zerwig with possession of spiny lobster tails over the bag limit.

According to the FWC, the men were 249 tails over their bag limit.

Fishermen are limited to six spiny lobsters per day.
