MONROE COUNTY, Fla. -

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled a missing child alert issued Monday for three boys after they were found near Key West.

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper stopped a vehicle driven by Kirsten Kelly-Fletcher near mile marker 23.5 about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Artistic Fletcher, Damien Kelly and Nicholas Lane, who investigators said were last seen in Kankakee, Ill., were inside the vehicle with Arthur Fletcher, 32, and Kirsten Kelly-Fletcher, 28.

Both Fletcher and Kelly-Fletcher were released after police in Florida spoke with Illinois State Police. The three children were taken into protective custody by the Department of Children and Families and taken to Key West.
