An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday after Hillsborough County deputies said two children -- ages 2 and 4 -- were abducted by their parents.

According to deputies, 2-year-old Chase and 4-year-old Cole Hakken were staying at their grandmother's home in the 14000 block of Shady Shores Drive when their father, Joshua Hakken, showed up around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Neither Joshua nor the boys' mother, Sharyn Hakken, have legal custody of the children, according to published reports.

According to the grandmother, Patricia Hauser, Joshua tied her up and took off with the kids in her 2009 silver Toyota Camry. Officials believe they could now be traveling in a 2006 black GMC pickup registered to Joshua.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the children or their parents is urged to call police at 888-356-4774.
