Americans show an overwhelming amount of support for universal gun checks, including among voters in households that have guns, according to a recent Quinnipiac University poll.
The national and statewide polls have been conducted since the December 14th Newtown Elementary School massacre. A March 7th poll shows voters nationwide show 88-10 percent support for universal background checks, including 85-13 percent among gun owners.
In Florida, a March 21st poll shows 91-8 percent support for background checks, including 88-11 percent among gun owners.
