BSO Detectives arrest 2 men involved in burglaries in Pompano Beach

Authorities said pair sold laptops, jewelry stolen from each house

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. ā€“ The Broward Sheriff's Office says they have arrested two men who allegedly robbed two homes in Pompano Beach.

Detectives said they have arrested 19-year-old Christopher Skillas, who was seen on video committing the burglaries, and 18-year-old Jesse Payne, who owns and drove the white BMW vehicle that was used during the burglaries.

According to authorities, the two burglaries took place on Dec. 18 and Dec. 20. At both homes, one of the men had walked around the house searching for an open window or door.

Police said the two had stolen and got away with laptops and jewelry from each house. The pair then sold the stolen merchandise, said police.

Both of the men face charges of burglary and grand theft.
