BSO releases suspect sketch
BSO has released the sketch of a man who they believe may have information regarding the death of a man whose body washed ashore in Deerfield Beach last October.
A BSO deputy on ATV patrol on the beach discovered the body in the 900 block of southeast 21 avenue, behind the embassy suites.
47-year-old Jay Harper was in South Florida for a business conference, according to investigators. Police say Harper went to the beach with a woman sometime after midnight. He was found dead two hours later, police say.
The woman he had been with is not a suspect in the case. However, police believe foul played a role in Harper’s death.
According to the Medical Examiner’s office, the cause of Harper’s death remains undetermined at this time.
Police is asking anyone with information about this case, to please call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
