Runners should wear white, meet at 7 p.m.

MIAMI – The Baptist Health South Florida Brickell Run Club is inviting the public to run in silence Tuesday night as a way to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Runners are encouraged to meet in the Fortune International Parking Lot at 1300 Brickell Avenue at 7 p.m. From there, the group will run together up Brickell Avenue to Biscayne Boulevard on a route that is about 3.5 miles long.

Organizers want runners to wear white or shirts from former races they've participated in. Baptist Health will provide water bottles and special Boston Marathon mock bibs. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend.

"All runners share a special bond today in light of the tragedy in Boston," said Jose Sotolongo, Executive Director of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission. "As a community, we must come together to show that as runners and Americans, we will not be deterred by these senseless acts."
