Be safe on Memorial Day weekend
Here are five important safety tips you should keep in mind this Memorial Day Weekend.
If you're planning on going to the beach and you see a red flag, it means there are strong rip currents. Yellow represents moderate, green represents calm. Lifeguards will remain on high alert throughout the long weekend.
When cruising any highway, be careful. About 31 million people are expected to travel. Be patient and stay alert.
Remember to wear your seatbelt at all times, as the "Click it or Ticket it" annual campaign will be in effect throughout South Florida.
If you are attending a parade or a community event, make sure small children don't get lost in the multitude. Just in case, place your contact information in your child's pocket.
And please remember the most important tip of all ... Don't drink and drive.
