Burglar leaves laundry empty handed

Surveillance cameras capture a burglary attempting to break into the Cove Coin Laundry in Deerfield Beach only to leave empty handed.

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -

Surveillance cameras captured a burglary attempting to break into the Cove Coin Laundry in Deerfield Beach only to leave empty handed.

The attempted burglary happened at 313 SE 15th Terrace on October 30.

The video showed the burglar smash a small glass pane on the front door in an attempt to get inside. The burglar spent five and a half minutes working to get the door open.

He left when a passerby began approaching.

The burglar is described as being in his late 20s and standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last seen wearing long, dark-colored shorts with white stripes on the sides, a T-shirt, a baseball cap, sandals, and carrying a book bag.
