DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -

A drunk man who did maintenance at an apartment complex in Delray Beach shot at ducks because he was sick of cleaning up after them, according to a police report.

Scott Jensen was arrested Nov. 19. He is charged with improperly exhibiting a firearm and two counts of cruelty to animals.

Police officers were called to the Delray Lake Apartments on Nov. 19 to reports of a man shooting ducks from the roof of an apartment. When officers arrived, they found Jensen, 48, on the roof holding a .22 caliber pellet rifle with a scope and a backpack, according to the police report. Inside the backpack were pellets for the rifle, six bottles of beer, and two flashlights.

Police said Jensen, the maintenance supervisor at the apartment complex, admitted to shooting ducks because he was tired of cleaning up their feces on the patio area.

Jensen claimed to have shot 10 ducks but only two dead ducks were found, said police.
