Davie to begin fining red light runners

30-day warning period begins when cameras operational

DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie will soon begin fining red light runners.

Davie red light camera will soon begin taking photographs at the below intersections:

  • S. University Drive at Stirling Road
  • Stirling Road at Davie Road

Once the cameras are operational, Davie will begin a 30-day warning period for drivers. During the warning period, drivers who fail to stop at a red light will be issued a warning notice but no fine. The notice will be sent to the vehicle's registered owner.

After the warning period, fines will be sent out.

Cameras will operate 24-hours a day and capture images of every vehicle running a red light at the intersection. Warning signs alerting drivers to the red-light safety cameras have been installed prior to the warning period.
