DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office SWAT Team was called to a man's apartment Tuesday.
Authorities said they believed he was armed and alone in an apartment at 410 Jefferson Drive in Deerfield Beach.

BSO said it received a call around 4:37 p.m. for deputies to conduct a welfare check on a despondent man who lives in the apartment.
SWAT cleared the apartment and found the subject alive. No one else was inside the home.
The man is not facing charges, but was being transported to the hospital for evaluation under the Baker Act, authorities said.
