HALLANDALE, Fla. -

The seventh annual "South Florida Exotic Car Toy Rally" was held on Saturday to benefit Toys for Tots.

The Toy Rally is the nation's largest annual gathering and procession of exotic cars in the country for charity. Last year, participants, sponsors, and contributors donated enough toys to overfill two US Marine Corps seven-ton military trucks, a moving box-truck, along with over $20,000.00 in cash donations.

The rally began at 10:00 a.m. at The Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa's golf resort in Hallandale. The route is approximately 50 miles and will took drivers from Hallandale up to Ft. Lauderdale and then on to The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. The toy donations took place at 12:30 p.m.

The parade of cars was escorted by local law enforcement, as well as the United States Marine Corps, who collected and accept the toys on behalf of the Toys for Tots foundation.

Saturday's Toy Rally was supported by many organizations, including Goodyear, The Miami Dolphins, and Lamborghini.

Toys for Tots is a charitable foundation administered by the United States Marine Corps (USMC), with the initiative of collecting new, unwrapped toy donations, then distributing those toys directly to underprivileged children to put a smile on their faces and brighten their holidays.
