TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Lottery is turning 25 years old.
The lottery is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Jan. 12.

Along with the celebration comes a brand new logo that you see in the above picture.
The lottery said in a news release that its number one priority is to continue funding education in Florida.
On its website, the lottery bragged: "Over the past quarter century, the Florida Lottery has paid more than $37.7 billion in prizes to winners, enjoyed a mutually-beneficial relationship with more than 13,000 retailers and generated more than $24 billion for education. Looking back on all the Lottery has accomplished, we also recognized the need to update, refresh and re-brand our agency to reflect the energy and excitement of playing and winning Florida Lottery games."
The lottery went on to write: "We are proud to reintroduce ourselves to Floridians and our visitors, with a renewed commitment to our mission to maximize revenues that help us provide funds for education. As the agency celebrates its 25th anniversary, an innovative and fresh spirit shines through with a mix of new and classic games, an updated logo design and a new brand identity, all while inspiring Floridians to imagine the possibilities of their dreams coming true."
