Friends, family plan memorial event for slain bicyclist
Walkers and bicyclists will gather on the Rickenbacker Causeway on February 18th, calling for safer streets.
Aaron Cohen died on Thursday after a car hit him and his friend, Enda Welsh, as they rode their bikes along the the William Powell Bridge.
The entire south side of the bridge will be closed for one hour on Saturday so cyclists and walkers can make their journey. The closure begins at 9 a.m.
The event will be preceded by a bicycle ride from Miami's Bayfront Park to the bridge. Cyclists will gather at the south end of the park at 8:30 a.m. and start riding at 8:45 a.m.
