FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 5-year-old girl who fell out of her 7th floor bedroom window is in stable condition, a hospital representative says.
The girl had been listed in critical condition since the incident Friday at the Bridgewater Place apartment complex in Oakland Park.

Investigators said the 5-year-old fell into a window screen, which broke loose and sent her tumbling seven stories to the ground outside her bedroom.
The girl landed on a patch of grass near a palm tree, concrete sidewalk, and fence, investigators said.
The little girl was taken to Broward Medical Center, where she is recovering.
The Department of Children and Families on Friday said they are investigating the incident.
