Inspectors find 58 violations in 1 Miami-Dade restaurant

MIAMI – State inspectors found 58 violations inside China Buffett Restaurant last week and ordered the doors shut.

China Buffet was the only restaurant ordered shut last week in South Florida, according to state records. Below is a list of some of the violations found.

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Found one live roach walking underneath cook line on kitchen. Found 6 dead roaches underneath shelves of kitchen. Found at least 30 live roaches in a gap on side of ware washing area that goes to prep area. Roaches are small and big. According to person in charge, they are doing their own pest control. Found 2 live roaches on electric panel by kitchen entrance."

"Dead roaches on premises. 6 dead roaches underneath shelves."

"Meat grinder/saw soiled with old food debris."

"Accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine."

"Raw animal food stored over cooked food. Raw chicken over cooked pasta."

"No currently certified food service manager on duty with four or more employees engaged in food preparation/handling."
