Man arrested in robbery, sex assault
The Miami Police Department's Special Victims Unit says they have arrested a man facing charges for an armed robbery and armed sexual assault.
Officials said they arrived at the scene of an armed sexual assault and robbery that took place Sunday at 12:40 am in the area of NW 1 Court between NW 14th and 15th Streets.
According to investigators, two women were walking when they were approached by a man armed with a handgun. The man, Terrance Dwayne Mingo Jr., demanded the two to give up their belongings and ordered both victims to sit on the ground, said police.
At gunpoint, police said Mingo Jr. ordered both women to perform oral sex on each other and afterwards to perform unprotected oral sex on him.
Police said the chain of events led to the sexual battery of the first woman. After the assaults, police said Mingo Jr. fled with both of the women's belongings in an unknown direction.
Investigators said the women did not suffer any injuries.
Mingo Jr. was arrested and charged with two counts of armed sexual battery and two counts of armed robbery.
