HIALEAH, Fla. -

A man who built a 16-foot, 2-ton elephant sculpture in his front yard says he and his family are donating the sculpture to the Hidden Ark Project in Hialeah.

The elephant had been in Reinol Fernandez's front yard since October. Fernandez, a retired truck driver, built Luiyano the elephant out of rebar, chicken wire, and concrete.

Fernandez and his family said they are donating the elephant to the Museum Builders in Hialeah, where they are building a replica of Noah's Ark. The elephant even shoots water out of its trunk.

A complaint about the sculpture was recently filed after some neighbors had called it an eyesore and wanted it gone.
