Police are looking for a group of suspects who attacked and killed a man right in front of his home. Loved ones say it was all for his gold chain.

MIAMI -

Miami police need the public's help finding three men who attacked and shot a man to death outside his home  at 1162 NW 28th Street.

The family of victim Jose Navarro believes he was targeted for the gold chain he wore.

The soon-to-be father of two was returning home Sunday from grocery shopping with his pregnant wife, Kenia Barahona, and their 2-year-old son.

Neighbor Kevin Martinez watched Navarro unload bags and water bottles as his wife and son sat inside the car.

"He puts his water bottles right here," Martinez said, pointing to the front porch of the house. "He goes to unlock the door. As soon as he goes to unlock the door he just goes to get more groceries."

Police said Navarro never made it back to his car. Instead, he was ambushed and shot in the walkway in front of his house. Martinez believes Navarro's son may have witnessed his father getting shot.

"They just basically shot and left and ran," he said. Navarro's relatives said the attackers never got his chain. Instead, they ran east on NW 28th Avenue where a car was parked, and drove away.

Navarro was rushed to Jackson memorial hospital where he died Sunday afternoon.

Barahona, who is three months pregnant, said she wants the attackers caught.

Investigators have few details about the shooters or the vehicle they used to flee the scene.
