A man found shot in the chest inside a car was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
The crash happened in the 900 block of Northwest 7th Avenue in Miami about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting. Police say the driver of sedan was shot, got into his car, and began driving until he lost consciousness and crashed into a box truck.
"I was coming off the train. I was about a block away and I just heard 'Pow! Pow!' and when I came around the corner, I looked down the street and I seen the truck and the car was parked there," said witness Timothy Horne.
Police didn't immediately identify the victim. The driver of the truck wasn't injured.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
