MIAMI – The Miami Art Museum named 6 new members to its board of trustees on Tuesday.
Tony Argiz, Greg Ferrero, Marcella Novela, Luke Palacio, Lee Brian Schrager and Padma Raj Vattikuti were named Tuesday.

Antonio L. Argiz is Chairman and CEO of Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF), one of the top 40 accounting firms in the nation. He was recently named the first vice chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and is a past chairman of the United Way of Miami-Dade and the Orange Bowl Committee. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration and Graduate Studies in Auditing and Taxation from Florida International University and attended University of Virginia - National AICPA Banking School.
Gregory Ferreromanages the Florida investment management business and serves on the IMD portfolio review board of Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 as an investment professional in the New York office, and was named managing director in 2006. Ferrero serves on the board of the Pear Tree Point School Foundation in Darien, CT and is a member of the board of trustees at St. Lawrence University. He is also involved in various philanthropic activities at Harvard Business School. Before moving to Miami, Ferrero served on the board of trustees of the Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, CT and was an elder at his church. He is also a past chairman of the southern Connecticut board of directors at the American Heart Association. Ferrero earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990, a BS in chemistry from St. Lawrence University in 1984 and a BS in chemical engineering from Columbia University in 1985. He is a CFA charterholder.
Marcella Novela is the chair of Miami Art Museum's MAM Contemporaries and Young Collectors Council. Novela joined the MAM Contemporaries steering committee in 2009 and was elected chair of the MAM Contemporaries in 2010. Since her election, the group's membership has more than doubled. She has also organized many collaborations and projects with cultural entities throughout Miami including an annual bike tour of street art in Wynwood, Miami's gallery district, as well as public art tours with Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Art in Public Places in addition to artist workshops, gallery tours and more. In 2011, she was appointed chair of the Young Collectors Council, a group dedicated to growing the Museum's permanent collection with works by Miami-based artists. Novela studied biomedical engineering at University of Miami and obtained a degree in fashion design from the Miami International University of Art and Design. Novela resides in Miami Beach with her attorney husband and two daughters.
Luke R. Palacio is a senior banker and managing director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Miami with over 20 years of experience in delivering banking and investment management solutions to clients. A member of the firm since 2000, Palacio most recently served seven years on the Latin America private bank operating committee. He was the Global Market Manager for both the Andean, Central America, Caribbean region and the Southern Cone. Palacio also managed the Latin America Private Banking business of J.P. Morgan Suisse S.A. in 2006 and 2007. Palacio is bilingual and holds a B.A. in Economics from Fairfield University and a MBA in Finance and International Business from the NYU Stern School of Business. He resides in Key Biscayne with his wife, Alejandra, and their two daughters.
Lee Brian Schrager is vice president of corporate communications and national events for Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., the nation's leading wine and spirits distributor, and oversees projects in all 35 states in which it does business. Under Schrager's direction, Southern Wine & Spirits has created two internationally-recognized charity events: the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE benefiting the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center at Florida International University (FIU); and the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE benefiting the hunger relief programs offered by Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry® campaign. He serves as a regular contributor for Ocean Drive magazine, as well as the Chief Lifestyle Advisor for Gilt City, and is a current board member for the Food Bank For New York City.
Padma Raj VattiKutiwas born in India and came to United States in 1978. She and her husband Raj Vattikuti founded The Vattikuti Foundation in 1997 to serve communities in southeastern Michigan, where she resides part-time, as well as causes in India and other parts of the world. The Foundation founded The Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospitals, The Vattikuti Digital Breast Diagnostic Center at Beaumont Hospitals and more recently Women's Health Care Center partnering with Providence Hospitals. The Foundation also creates infrastructure to reach people in poverty through the Poverty Alleviation Initiative Program in India. Padma has an undergraduate degree in sciences from RA University in Hyderabad, India and a master's degree in biochemistry, genetics and nutrition from Venkateswara University, India. Mrs. Vattikuti has served on boards of Merrill Palmer Institute, Red-Cross Southeastern Michigan Chapter, Michigan Asian Business Council and a council member of Arts of Asia and Islamic art at the Detroit Institute Art. In Detroit, the Vattikuti's sponsored an outstanding exhibition of The Private World of India's Mughal Emperors from the Chester Beatty Library collection. She has actively collected Indian and Southeast Asian art for over the past two decades. The Vattikutis live in both Bloomfield Hills, MI and Miami Beach, FL.
