First Lady Michelle Obama spoke at a grassroots event at Broward College on Monday afternoon.
About 2,000 people waited in line for hours to hear the first lady speak about several topics, including education.
"Every child should have a good education," said Michelle Obama.
The wait was worth it to many.
"For me, Obama is for the people," said Howard.
The first lady made the appearance on the same day her husband will debate Mitt Romney for the final time. While Michelle Obama never mentioned the debate, Debbie Wasserman Schultz did.
"The choice will be clear during the debate," said Wasserman Schultz.
