Police found a note but no bomb inside a rental car near Miami International Airport.
Reports of a suspicious package were made about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in the car rental area of the Metropolitan Intermodal Center, said Miami-Dade Police Det. Javier Baez.
Police evacuated 400 people from the center as they investigated.
Inside the car, police found a note mentioning a bomb, but no bomb was found.
"Bomb Squad technicians did not locate any suspicious items during the sweep. The original note that prompted the evacuation and sweep has been confiscated for investigative purposes," said Miami-Dade Police Det. Roy Rutland.
Metrorail and Metromover services to the center were suspended during the investigation, according to an airport spokesperson.
