Open, closed in Miami-Dade County

MIAMI -

Evacuation orders for people living in mobile home parks, low-lying areas, and unsafe structures have been issued. The county also says residents should begin putting up their hurricane shutters.

Three shelters -- Dr. Michael Krop Senior High School at 1410 NE 215th Street (pet friendly), Booker T. Washington Senior High School at 1200 NW 6th Avenue, and Robert Morgan Senior High School 18180 SW 122nd Avenue-- have opened.

Miami-Dade Transit will resume regular service at 3 a.m. Monday. The Tri-Rail will be closed Monday.

Solid Waste will pickup trash as normal Monday.. In the City of Miami, garbage pickup is also normal for Monday.

Animal Services is closing Monday and reopening Tuesday. All non-essential County employees are off on Monday. Offices for the Department of Children and Families in Miami-Dade County will be closed Monday.

Miami International Airport remains open.

In Miami Beach, beachfront restaurants, municipal pools, parks and youth centers, and the Miami Beach Golf Club and Normandy Gulf Club will be closed Monday.

Zoo Miami, the Charles Deering Estate at Cutler and the Redland Fruit and Spice Park will be closed on Monday.

Smaller community parks, after-school and Optimist programs will be closed on Monday.

All offices of the Jewish Community Services of South Florida will be closed Monday.

All Miami-Dade County Health Department offices and clinics will be closed Monday. Only essential Miami-Dade County Health Department staff should report to work. All locations of the Community Health of South Florida will be closed Monday except for its Doris Ison Health Center, which will remain open with limited service.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools has canceled classes for Monday.
